CAMBRIDGE STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report as follows on their usual triweekly stock sale at Cambridge last Monday:—. There was a small yarding of sheep and cattle, and values were well up to the good prices realised at recent sales, all lots being sold under the hammer. Medium-weight fat steers made £9 17s, light Polled Angus cows £7 7s, fat Jersey cows £6 10s to £7 15s, heavy boners £3 5s to £3 17s 6d, medium ditto £2 2s 6d to £2 18s, light ditto £1 to £1 12s 6d, yearling heifers of medium quality £3 12s, small ditto £1 15s. Prime fat ewes realised 235,' ditto hoggets 255, ditto lighter 16s. Sheep: Extra heavy yarding of all classes, prices for prime quality ewes and wethers showing little alteration, while prices for unfinished ewes eased. Cattle: A heavy yarding of all classes of fat cattle came forward and although quality was better than penned for many sales prices showed an easing tendency, particularly for prime fat cows and heifers. These being in some cases from 20s to 30s per head down on last sale. Vealers were yarded in small numbers, being dull. Boners were in keen demand, prices showing a slight improvement. The top price for prime heavy bullocks was £l7 15s and prime heavy cows up to £l3; prime heavy bullocks £l3 10s to £1 455; prime Hereford heifers, medium weight to £ll ss; heavy boners £3 5s to £4 3s; medium £2 2s to £3 4s; light ditto £1 to £1 17s 6d. Pigs: A good yarding of fat pigs came forward with a full yarding of stores. All clases sold freely—stores in particular were very firm.
