KAWHIA WHARF
PROPOSALS UNDER CONSIDERATION.
GOVERNMENT AWAITS OFFICIAL REPORT.
Following on persistent rumours that a new wharf is about to be erected at Kawhia, Mr W. J. Broadfoot has made inquiry and is advised by the Minister of Marine that the question of a new wharf at Kawhia, together with the financial position of the Kawhia Harbour Board, has been under consideration. So far as the wharf is concerned, instructions were given a short time ago for investigations and a report to be made as to the desirability of constructing an entirely new wharf on a different site, or to the reconditioning of the present structure, and for the preparation of plans. When the report and plans have been received and considered you will be further advised.
