The Waikato Returned Soldiers’ Association has increased its mem-, bership from 401 to 491 in the past year, according to the report to be presented at the annual meeting this week. The executive reports that its* most important business was the handling of pension cases and the distribution of canteen and Poppyr Day funds. The hospital had been visited by Mr M. J. Galvin. An agreement had been entered into with the Waikato Hospital Board, under which, on the payment of 30s per annum, members were entitled to free treatment. The statement of accounts showed assets totalling £3BO and an excess of receipts over expenditure of £4B.
