Various articles had been disappearing from the factory and the foreman was instructed to stop all the men at the gate and Search them. Some days later the manager was crossing the yard when he saw that the foreman had lined up all the workmen. “Take off yer coats, ye spalpeens,” he was shouting. “What’s missing now?” asked the manager. “A wheelbarrow,” was the reply.
