In the course of his report as acting chairman of the Otorohanga Returned Soldiers’ Association, Mr A. J. McCready stated that 16 members had joined the hospital fund. This fund, to which returned men subscribed only 30s per year, provided free hospital treatment for them, their wives and families, and was becoming largely availed of as it got better known.
