INTER-SCHOOL SPORTS
PATERANGI AND PIRONGIA. On Wednesday last the Pirongia School basketball and Rugby representatives, both senior and juniorgrades, paid a visit to Paterangi for the annual inter-school sports competition. In play the visitors found the Paterangi teams too strong in three of the four matches played. Playing basketball, Paterangi won the senior game by 12 goals to 8, and in the junior grade won by 9 goals to 5. At football, Paterangi also won the senior game by 8 points to 3 but the Pirongia juniors had a comfortable victory, the final tally being 21 points to nil.
