TEST MATCHES
NEW ZEALAND WINS THREE OUTRIGHT. With New- Zealand sides engaged in international contests in four branches of sport, namely, Rugby football, League football, hockey and cricket, Saturday was a great day for tlie Dominion in tlie sporting world. Three of these tests were decided on the day and all three were won by New Zea land. The event of the greatest interest from the Dominion’s point of view was the meeting of the All Blacks and the Springboks in the first test at Wellington, which was won by the former by 13 joints to 7. The New Zealand League representatives defeated Australia in the second test, played at Carlaw Park, Auckland, by 16 points to 15, while the Dominion hockey side won front Australia al Sydney by one goal to nil. The fourth test was the third and final match between the touring New Zealand cricket eleven and England, which commenced at the Oval, London. Rain interfered with the play, and although the Dominion won the toss, little indication was afforded as to the final result. The match will now be confined to practically only two days, and it is probable that it will end in a draw.
