HOCKEY CLUB DANCE. (Own Correspondent.) The Pirongia Ladies’ Hockey Club promoted a most successful dance in the Pirongia Memorial Hall last Saturday evening. There was a very large attendance, including visitors from all the neighbouring districts. The Savoy Dance Band provided excellent music, and Mr J. Macky ably carried out the duties of M.C. Monte Carlo competitions were won by Miss G. Bowden and partner and Miss R. Brown and partner. A very tasty home-made supper was served by the local hockey girls. The committee in charge of the arrangements for the function were Mesdames W. H. Bell and M. Hawley, the Misses R. Bell (secretary), p. Sifleet, G. Bell, I. Sifleet, D. Beet, S. Bell, F.
