CARRIER’S LICENSE
MR SEMPLE'E ATTITUDE. “I will not listen to you. The mat ter is sub judice, and I am not going to deal with it,” said the Minister of Transport, the Hon. R. Semple, at Morrinsville yesterday, when he was asked to extend the provisions of a license held by a carrier in the district.
Mr Semple added it was altogether wrong to ask a Minister to deal with the details of r.n application about which he knew nothing, while an appeal was pending. He would not intervene. No appeal had reached him. He would advise the deputation to interview the No. 1 Licensing Authority, Mr E. J. Phelan, and ask him to review his decision.
