TE AWAMUTU CLUB. COMPETITION FOR NATION CUP. Finality in connection with the Te Awamutu Bowling Club’s Nation Cup competition is being reached, for on Saturday afternoon, at the Victoria Park greens the fourth and fifth rounds were decided, leaving only the final to be played. The fourth round resulted: Culpan (10) beat Douglas (2) by default; G. Angus (4) beat Hopping (14), 28— 22; J. Maxwell (14) beat H. Burchell (2) 29—20; T. Finch (2) beat D. McArthur (2) 18—8. The fifth round (semi-finals) resulted: Culpan beat Finch 27—10, and Maxwell beat Angus 24—14. The final will be decided on Saturday next. Other games played (ordinary draw) resulted’ C. Pierce, C. Woolly, H. Brill and S. Haines 23 v. H. Budden, H. Andrew, H. Wyllie and E. N. Pascoe 18. I. M. West, H. V. Collison, R. L. Henderson and J. Hawkins 21 v. S. J. Nobes, W. Mensforth, S. Dowds and G. F. Smith 17.
