WOMEN’S DIVISION
RANGITOTO AND TE KUITI. The recently - formed Rangitoto branch of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers' Union pro. vided the hostesses at the annual meeting of the W.D.F.U. in the Municipal Hall, Te Kuiti, when there was a large attendance of members. The financial position of the branches is solid, and a sum of £lO was forwarded to the Community Chest at Wellington headquarters. The election of officers resulted:— president, Mrs W. A. Lee (Waitoimo Caves); vice-presidents, Mesdames D. Tapplin, J. N. Boddie, A. L. Marsh and Bain; secretary, Miss D. Edwards; assistant, Miss J. Finlay; treasurer, Miss D. Walker; trustees, Mrs D. Tapplin and Miss D. Walker; press correspondent, Mrs A. L. Marsh; delegates to Provincial Executive-, Mesdames J. N. Boddie, Snowdon and W. A. Lee; executive committee, Mesdames C. E. Frampton, F. J. Cowern, G. Finlay, C. McDonald, Mueller, H. R. Hunt, Tancred, Robson, Park, Jordan, Mehrtens, Sutherland, Ingpen, Hitchcock, Reinhardt and Barlow; hospital visitors, Mrs Hitchcock and Miss D. Walker. The outgoing officers and executive were congratulated on their successful year and excellent stewardship during their term of office. Seventeen new members were elected.
