WEDDING

BOYD—GRAHAM. The marriage was solemnised at the Kaipaki Church between Olive Sybil, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs R. J. Graham, of Kaipaki, and Fergus Craig, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J. Boyd, of Gordonton. The church had been beautifully decorated by friends of the bride, the bridal party standing under a floral arch from which was suspended a dainty white bell. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. W. Chandler, vicar of Cambridge, and Mrs Wiley presided at the organ.

The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a charming gown of ivory embossed silk lace over satin, cut on princess lines and falling softly in a graceful oval train. The circular neckline was finished with a soft satin piping with satin buttons on the shoulders. The waistline was encircled with a flared basque reaching to within six inches in front, where it was finished with two large satin buttons. The long, full sleeves were open, being caught at the wrist with a satin band finished again witli a satin button. Her oval veil, ot beautifully embroidered net, was arranged on her hair in mob cap style, gathered in at the back of the neck, where it was held in place with a spray of orange blossom, then falling gracefully to form a second and longer train. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of cream carnations, dahlias, nerines and small branches of pink begonia and maidenhair fern, tied with ivory satin streamers. The bridesmaids were Miss Jean Graham (sister of the bride) and Miss Margaret Boyd (sister of the bridegroom) . They wore frocks ot salmon pink and periwinkle blue silk lace over satin respectively, made with cowl necklines, short puffed sleeves and tight fitting bodices. The skirts were full length, cut on stream lines and finished at the waist with oval basques, edged, with lace to match. They wore bandeaux of pale pink pleated net edged with small pink and blue flowers and carried shower bouquets of pastel tinted chrysanthemums and dahlias and maidenhair fern, tied with silver streamers.

Mr Graeme Boyd (cousin of the bridegroom) was best man, and Mr Gordon Boyd (brother of the bridegroom) was groomsman. The ushers were Mr A. M. Fisher and Mr A. Boyd. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Kaipaki Hall, which had been beautifully decorated for the occasion. The long tables were delightfully arranged in pink with slight touches of blue and cream, with Easter daisies, chrysanthemums and pink nerines. Over the bridal table a handsome wedding bell was suspended. Mrs Graham received the guests wearing a smart bottle green silk lace frock over silk, brown fox fur and brown bangkok straw hat trimmed with bronze flowers and brown velvet ribbon. She carried a bouquet of gold and bronze chrysanthemums, autumn tinted leaves and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom’s mother wore a navy ensemble relieved with touches of cream and red, peach bloom velour hat and carried a bouquet of red pompom dahlias, autumn tinted leaves and maidenhair fern.

Later Mr and Mrs Fergus Boyd left by car for the honeymoon, the bride travelling in a nigger brown costume, brown felt bat with red quill, brown fox fur and brown accessories.

They will make their home in Kaipaki. In the evening Mr and Mrs Graham entertained e. number of their friends at a dance in the Kaipaki Hall.
