CAMBRIDGE STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited report having held their sale at Cambridge or. Monday, when a full yarding of cattle came forward. An average yarding of cows and heifer beef sold firmly at recent improved values, whilst a good yarding of boner cows also met with a ready sale at late rates. Sheep: A fair entry of fat sheep sold firmly, values' being fully on a par with Frankton quotations. Pigs: An average yarding of fats and a medium entry of stores came forward. Fat pigs sold on a par with late rates while stores and weaners showed a slight improvement on late rates. SALE AT FRANKTON. Pens were well filled in every section at the weekly Frankton stock sale yesterday, when late market rates were generally well maintained. There was a stiffening of values in the pig section, while firm sales yvere the rule in other departments. Beef was forward in fuller supply and values in the majority of instances firmer. The delivery of ox beef comprised mostly light-weight cattle which sold under steady competition to return late rates. Largest cattle were not so eagerly sought. Prices were generally firm for cow and heifer beef over the early sales, butchers showing ready competition for al attractive pens. Sheep were again forward in full numbers and, altholugh there was no marked trend in the market, wethers were just a shade easier. Ewes showed little alteration, while vendors of fat lambs obtained values current last week. Although there was no advance on the top price of last sale, fat pigs met with a readier trade and values on the whole were firmer. Baconers sold freely to 71s, while good competition was shown for porkers, which sold at between 28s to 455. Prime bullocks £lO 2s Cd to £ll 12s 6d, lighter £8 15s to £9 15s, small £6 10s to £7 10s.
