HAMILTON BULL SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held their annual bull sale at Frankton saleyards: on Monday last. There' was a full yarding of all classes or bulls, the demand for all really good serviceable sorts being good, but a good many of the entries were low in condition, and this class lacked competition. Our principal sales were as follows: On account of Mr W. MeDell, yearling pedigree Jersey bull 18 gns; on account of clients grade 2 year Jersey bulls £7 to £B, low conditioned Red Polled bulls £6 10s to £7, yearling S.H. bulls £9 and £8 15s, Ayrshire bull £ll, yearling grade Jersey bulls £5 10s, aged bulls £6 to £7 10s. FRANKTON STOCK SALE. Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held theii usual weekly stock sale at Frankton on Tuesday, as under: —Fat sheep: An average yarding. The demand Was only fair and prices were lower I han last week. Shorn wethers sold at about 2s per head less than late rates. Fat woolly wethers 31: 6d to 335, shorn fat wethers 26s to 27s 9d, woolly fat ewes 24s to 26s 6d, shorn fat ewes 22s to 25s 6d. Fat lambs: A moderate yarding. A few spring lambs sold readily at 34s 6d to 375, extra heavy prime hoggets 30s 6d to 38s, ordinary fat hoggets 22s to 275, 9d, small black faced hoggets 20s to 21s 6d. Fat cattle: A fairly large yarding. Prices were on a par with last week’s rates. Prime young cow's and heifers £8 12s 6d to £lO 12s 6d, fat Jersey cow's £5 to £5 9s, moderate quality fat Jersey cows £3 7s 6d to £3 17s 6d. Store cattle: Forward young cow’s £4 5s to £4 12s, boner cows £2 6s to £2 Us, light ditto 31s to 38s, potter jtilis £4 9s, yearling Jersey heifers £3 15.- to £4 ss. Store sheep: Full mouth ewes in the w'ool with lambs at foot 16s, all counted, ewes in lamb 1.9 s 6d, cull black faced hoggets 13s 9d to 20s. Pigs: There was a very heavy yarding of fat pigs and a large yarding oi stores and weaners. Prime heavy and heavy baconers maintained full market rates, while light baconers showed a decline. Porkers of all classes and Buttermilk pigs maintained last week’s quotations. Store pigs sold undei keen competition and fully maintained recent quotations. Weaners were in good demand. We quote: Heavy baconers £3 12s to £3 15s, medium prime baconers £3 sfTto £3 10s, medium baconers £2 18s to £3 3s, light baconers £2 10s to £2 15s, heavy porkers to butter milk £2 4s to £2 12s, prime heavy porkers £2 to £2 ss, me ditiin porkers 35s to £2, light do 30s tc 345, choppers 35s to £2 ss, large stores 28s to 365, medium do 24s to 27s 6d, best slips 24s to 27s 6d, small do 20s to 245, best weaners 18s to 225, small I2r. to 16s, sows to farrow £3 10s to £4 ss. CAMBRIDGE STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company reports having held its Cambridge stock sale on Monday, when a good yarding of all classes of cattle came forward. Cow and heifer beef was in average supply, the entry comprising mostly light fat cows. Competition was steady, with values showing a slight easing tendency. A good yarding of boner cows sold at slightly easier rates. A large number of yearling Jersey heifers met briskinquiry, top price in this section being £5 18s, which was realised for a pen of good-quality heifers offered on account of Mr E. E. Wallace. Sheep: A small entry, comprising mostly fat hoggets. Competition was brisk, a total clearance resulting at late rates. Daries: A medium entry, with few good-quality animals offering. Competition was not as keen as at our previous sale, and prices eased accordingly. Pigs: A good yarding of both fat and store pigs. Competition was good throughout, and prices realised fully up to late quotations. Cattle: Fat cows made £8 15s to £9, lighter cows and heifers £5 to £7, forward and killable cows £3 10s to £4 15s, sound empty Jersey cows £2 10s to £3 ss, heavy boners £2 to £2 15s, lighter 25s to 365, good-quality Jersey and Jersey-cross yearling heifers to £5 18s, others £4 to £4 ss, potter bulls £3 15s to £4 Bs. Sheep: Fat woolly hoggets made 24s 3d to 25s 9d, fat shorn hoggets to 245, light fat ewes to 245. Dairies: Jersey and Jersey-cross heifers close to profit realised £7 to £B, more backward £5 10s to £6 10s, smaller heifers £4 to £5, cows close to profit £6 10s to £B, more backward £5 to £6, inferior sorts £3 10s to £4 15s. Pigs: Medium baconers made £2 18s to £3 3s, heavy porkers £2 4s to £2 10s, medium 38s to £2 2s, light 33s to 375, large stores 30s to 365, medium 26s to 295, slips 24s to 28s 6d, best weaners 18s to 225, others 10s to 1 5s
