TE AWAMUTU—WEDNESDAY. (Before Mr F. H. Levien, S.M.) The following undefended civil cases ware disposed of 'at to-day’s sitting of the Magistrate’s Court at Te Awamutu, when judgment was entered, with costs, for plaintiff in each case:— Waipa County Council v. Donald Henry Whitton, claim £1 16s Id, costs 10s. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. H. V. Lines v. Bert Nelson, claim £8 2s 6d.—Defendant said he was a labourer, 'and had been on relief work from July to Christmas; then he took > a contract, but could not make it pay. He had only * made wagesabout £2 10s per week. He had to finish the job—about a mile of fencing still to do. “I hope your nexlt contract will be more lucrative,” said his Worship in refusing an order.
