WRESTLING

SAVOLDI V. DAVIS. Hamilton is again fortunate in the selection of professional wrestlers for the match advertised in this issue for Thursday, Ist October. Jumping Joe Savoldi, the 1934 world’s champion, is to meet Wee Willie Davis, the American heavyweight. Savoldi is the originator of the drop kick, and has the reputation ot being faster than Boesch with his feet. (McCready found this out last week.) Davis has had a number of wins by virtue of his great weight, but it remains to be seen whether he can beat Savoldi. Amongst the amateurs, a most interesting bout will be the all-in special return challenge by A. Webb to P. Mclndoe, both of Hamilton. Intending patrons are advised to book seats early to avoid disappointment.
