CAMBRIDGE STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited, report having held their Cambridge Stock Sale on Monday when a good yarding of all classes of cattle came forward. The entry included two pens of Shorthorn and Hereford Steers offered on account of Messis. Kirby Bros, of Maungatautari and also a pen ■of Polled Angus steers on account of Mr Seymour Brunskill of Whitehall. Competition was firm with values on a par with late quotations. Cow and heifer beef was in average supply and in this section competition was again brisk, values being equal with those ruling in other centres. Boner cows met with la. ready sale, there being no appreciable variation in values. Dairies:—A good yarding which met with keen bidding from a full bench of buyers, values remaining firm at late nates. Choice sorts were particularly sought. Pigs:—A medium yarding, including a. small entry of fat pigs and good number of stores and weaners. Competition came freely from a full bench of buyers, prices being on a par with recent quotations. We quote —Cattle: —■ Light fat Hereford and Shorthorn steers £ll to £l2; light fat Polled Angus steers to £ll 8s; fat cows £9 to £9 13s; lighter flat cows and heifers £5 to £7 10s; fwd. and killable cows £3 15s to £4 16s, heavy beners £2 2s to £2 19s; lighter 32s to £2; young sound empty , cows £2 17s Jd 'to £3 9s; yeapbing Shorthorn heifers to £3 15s; yearling Jersey heifers £2 16s to £3 ss; 2 year empty heifers £3 Is to £3 4s. Dairies: Choice iersey Heifers, close to profit £lO to £ll, Jersey and Jersey Cross heifers, close to profit £8 to £9; more backwiard £6 15s to £7 15s; smaller and backward £5 10s to £6 10s; inferior sorts £3 10s to £5 ss; Jersey and Jersey Cross cows, close to profit. £7 o £8 15s; later calvers £3 5s to £6 15. Pigs:—Medium porkers £2 to »‘2 9s; light 35s to 395; good stores 19- to 335; others 25s to 28s 6d; slips .Ils to 24s -6d; wdane' s 15s to 235. TAUPIRI PIG SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company reports as follows on the above sale, held last Monday:— A good yarding of fat pigs comprised principally of porkers came forward. The usual bench of buyers v»as operating, and steady competition prevailed throughout, with last week’s Frankton price levels being maintained. Supplies of store and weaner pigs were fairly heavy, and this probably accounted for the slight recession in prices. Practically all changed hands, however. We quote: Medium to heavy-weight baconers £3 2s to £3 12s, medium to light-weight baconers £2 13s to £3, medium porkers £2 5s to £2 12s 6d, light porkers £1 15s to £2 4s, buttermilk pigs £1 10s to £1 13s, well-grown store pigs £1 5s to £1 9s 6d, medium ditto £1 Is to £1 4s, slips 16s to £l, good weaners 12s to 15s, inferior to 11s.
