DRAMA CLUB EVENING

“THE SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL.” There was. a fair attendance at the Te Awamutu Drama Club’s monthly meeting held in the Parish Hall last Saturday evening. Mr H. A. Swarbrick was in charge of the evening, R. B. Sheridan’s “The School for Scandal” being excellently read and much appreciated. The cast included Mr F. W. Bevin as Sir Peter Teazle; Mr S. C. Wood, Sir Oliver Surface; Mr H. P. Howcrot't, Joseph Surface; ■Mr Wyn Bent, Charles Surface; Mr W. Foggin, Crabtree; Mr D. Steer, Sir Benjamin Backbite; Mr V. A. de Coek, Rowley; Mr D. Steer, Moses; Miss Nan Potts, Lady Teazle; Mrs C. E. Howcrot’t, Lady Sneerwell; Miss M. Hansard, Maria; Mr A. Sutherland, Careless; Mr H. A. Swarbriek, Sir Harry Bumper. Several small parts were taken by Mr J. Bevin.
