OPINIONS OF OUR READERS. WHAT OF KIHIKIHI AND SOLDIERS’ GRAVES? Sir, —I am instructed by my executive to comment on a letter in your issue of May 29th concerning Anzac Day observation at Kihikihi, ahd referring also to the state of soldiers’ graves there. Both, as "Ashamed” mentions, are matters for the local public. The Te Awamutu Returned Soldiers’ Association has, however, been giving considerable attention during the past year or more to the suitable marking and care ot soldiers’ graves in the district. The proceeds of the recent production, “Reveille,” were marked as a contribution to this object. Preliminary work has already been done in preparation for marking graves in the Te Awamutu cemetery, but it is the intention eventually to deal with all the soldiers’ graves in our district. Information as to details of soldiers, such as rank, number and full name and charts indicating the exact position of the graves will be of the greatest possible assistance, as experience shows that this information is by no means easy to obtain.—l am, etc., H. T. HASELDEN, Hon. Sec. Te Awamutu R.S.A.
