INSUBORDINATE FELONS

SMJALL FINES INFLICTED.

In batches of four or five, 111 prisoners concerned in the disturbances at Miount Eden prison on Anzac Day and on Tuesday, were brought before the visiting justice, Mr F. K. Hunt, S.M., yesterday afternoon, and charged with breaches cf the regulations. Although all the men entered pleas of guilty the hearing of the cases occupied about two hours.

There were two charges against each man, one in respect of Anzac Day and one as a result of the trouble on Tuesday. All the prisoners were charged with disobeying orders. Each man was fined a small sum on one charge and convicted and ordered to come up for sentence when called upon on the other.
