Another programme of music will be played in the Domain on Sunday night by the Te Aroha Municipal Band, when a silver coin collection will be taken up in aid of the new instrument fund. On Saturday evening the Band will play in the street.
We have received a copy of the Daily Sketch for May 16th, in which there is an illustration of a model paper machine, the mechanism of which is said to have been a marvel to spectators at Wembley. Standing beside the machine, in the picture, is a son of Mr George Head of Te Aroha, one of the crew in charge of the machine while it was on exhibition. In a later issue a description of the machine will be published.
On Sunday evening next at 8 o’clock in the big Gospel Tent, Te Aroha, the subject of “The Future Home of God’s People, or Paradise Restored,” will be presented by Pastor C. A. Paap. By special request the service will begin at 8 o’clock. To Bible students, and to all who believe in a future immortal life, the presentation of such a subject as the above should appeal with special interest. The uncertainty of life and of Kingdoms in this world should have the effect of directing the attention of the inhabitants of old mother earth to something more real, tangible, satisfying and lasting than this mortal life can possibly afford. The people of Te Aroha are specially invited to attend this address.
