MOTHER’S DAY
o AT HETHERINGTONS Mother’s Day proved to be quite one of the most popular events in the jubilee season now being celebrated at Messrs Hetheringtons. Quite early in the morning the mothers began to arrive with the babies. The name of each child was recorded and will be preserved in the records of the firm’s jubilee celebrations. A pleasing feature of the event was that each child received a gift from the Baby Gift Tree. The interior of the main shop was beautifully decorated for the occasion, and the nurse’s costumes worn by the lady members of the staff gave quite a plunket atmosphere to the function. Quite a large number of interested people visited the store during the day and watched the proceedings.
