TE AROHA BRANCH j EMBRYO NURSES SUCCESSFUL EXAMINATIONS The secretary of the St. John Ambulance Association, Mr A. J. Burrows, informs us that in connection with the recently held examinations conducted in First Aid and the Injured, the following ladies were successful: Misses Biggs, Forrest, Hinton and Keaney. In the Home Nursing examination the following passed with distinction: Mrs Charters, Mrs Monk, Mrs D. Moon, Mrs H. Woods, and Misses A. and D. Burrows, L. Curie, L. Leece, I. Meikle, S. Macdonald, N. and D. Gilchrist, D. and E. Ranby. The written questions, difficult as some of them were, .were answered in the main most satisfactorily, and for the work the students were specially complimented. It may be mentioned that of the candidates who presented themselves for examination, not one failed in the two years, showing the patient care and interest bestowed’ in the laudable work by the instructor, Dr. W. R. Lawrence.
The certificates will be issued to the successful students as soon as they are signed by the Mayor of Auckland.
