(To the Editor) Sib. —There seems to be a good deal of controversy as to whether it is advisable to send glaxo and tinned butter to our '* boys,” while ia hospital. In sendiog glaxo the people are only saving the Government expense, as every hospital ship is provided with an ample supply before leaving New Zealand. They also carry in the freezer a large supply of New Zealand butter iu bulk. Butter in tins is not considered satisfactory in hospitals, and, so is not cairied. If the patriotic people want to send these tins of butter the only way would be to get a list of the Te Aroha boys and send each oue a tin. It would cost a little more in the matter of postage, but it would be a God-send to our men. Anything sent should be addressed to individual soldiers. As to glaxo — all sick and wounded men are well supplied by the Government. I am, etc., Returned Soldier.
