Three produce and fruit sales have been held during the week, undthoy were all well attended, and coinpstition was very keen. Many Jines show tin advance. Three for household effects: On Monday, at. the residence of J)r. Legcr JOrson, Parnoil; Tuesilav, at the residence o£ Mr t John Jenkins, Park Road East: and Wednesday, at the Mart. The whole v> ere well attended, and good prices were obtained. Two for drapery, clothing, jewellery, etc., both at the Mart, on Monday and Thursday. A fair amount of business was done'at fair prices. One was the salo of properties by order of the Registrar of the Supreme Court, at the Mart. There was a good attendance. The who\o ottered were bought by the mortgagees. Several advertised were not ottered, (lie mortgagors having paid the amount due. Borne of the properties have been sold fcmce. There has been a much greater inquiry for properties during the past two weeks than there has been for some years. Two sales for poultry, produce, fruit, etc.. at the Mart on Tuesday an rt Fiiday; for the future two snles will bo held each week on Tuesdays and Vridaja Both sales wore largely attended, and high prices were obtained. The supply of produce genorally has not been equal to the deniand, but growers must bo very careful not to send in any unripe crops, and see that it is faithfully bagged, Butter-makers must not put their butter into old packages-^either kegs or boves. Oheeoe-inakors should not scud to the market, until ripe and firm. Bacon must be of good quality, and well gotup. There is a good market and good prices for good stutf. Wo would again urge tipon fruitgrowers the necessity of carefully selecting, handling, and packing. There was a good supply of poulti'y.
