The reception accorded to the players fiom New Zealand was a most hearty and coidial one. Mr Attenborough, thesecretaiy, was the right man for the position, and Mr Greenlaw also showed great kindness to the visitors.' In fact, so well pleased and gratified am 1 with the treatment received that I intend to settle in Melbourne. I have already made a start in my business and will edit tho Draughts column of a Melbourne weekly newspaper.' 'Mr Hay is said to bear a striking resemblance to Sir Robert Stout.
