WARDEN'S COURT. Before H. A. Stratford, Esq., Warden
The right to occupy a forfeited residence site allotment, No. 5, Church Block, corner of Church and Boundary streets, Lipsey's Block, Te Aroha, sale of which had been postponed from 10th inst., was sold by auction to 0. 8. Pyne for £6. Leasing of Waiorongomai Tramway. — His Worship stated that all the conditions required by him having been included in the deed drawn up, he was now prepared to grant Piako Oounty Council permission to sub-let the tramway. A copy of the conditions imposed was filed in the Warden's office. Application for Licensed Holding, Tui.— With respect to the application by J. A. Dobson for a licensed Holding at Tui, Te Aroha, the Clerk stated that he had duly received the plan from the surveyor, but on comparing it with the compilation of plans in his office he ufound that the ground overlapped several adjoining claims, and advised that the application be not granted until this error had boen rectified The Warden instructed that the application an 1 plan bo forwarded to the Chief Surveyor of the Auckland district, and his attention directed to the error. Application for Residence Site, Te Aroha.— The application by the Church of England Vestry for allotments Nos. 6, 7, and 8, adjoining the Thermal Springs Domain, and by the Domain Board for allotments Nos. 2, 3, 4, and 5, also adjoining the Domain, were granted. Application for Site at Waiorongomai. — W. Dibscll applied for allotment ment No. 21, Kilgour street, Waiorongomai as a residence site. The Clerk stated the site was on a front street and in a good position for business purposes, and should only be granted subject to £5 per annum rental. The Warden consented to the application being granted as a business site at £5 per annum renta'. Applications for Renewal of Protec tion. — C. A. Comes, on behalf of John Chambers, 11. Brett, and others, applied for a renewal of protection for several ! claims at the Tui ; stating as his reason for so doing that Mr Price Williams had so very recently returned home that sufficient time had not yet elapsed for any letter to be received from him with respect to the prospects of English capital being introduced. He expected by the next mail from Home some information would be received. The Warden consented to extend protection for a further period of a month, at the termination of which time applicant could again come before him and state what probability there was of capital being forthcoming to work the ground. G. Robson also obtained protection for Ins claims at Tui for a further period of one month on similar grounds. Application to surrender. — Edwar.l Cameron applied for permission to surrender a portion (about thr<»e acres) of hia licensed holding the May Bell, al Tui. Application grante i.
