WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS COMING UPON US.

Like a thief at night it steals in upon n» unawares. Many persons have pains about the chest and sides, and sometimes in tho back. They feel dull and sleepy j the mouth Lias a bad taste especially in the morning. A. sort of sticky slime collects about th« teeth. The appetite is poor. There is a feeling like a heavy load on the stomach; sometimes a faint all-gone sensation at the pit of the ptomach which food does not satisfy. The eyep are sunken, the handi and feet become cold and feel clammy. After a while a cough sets in at first dry, but after a few months it is attended with a greenish coloured expectoration. Th© afllicted one feels tired all the while, and Bleep does not seem to aftbid any rest After a time ho becomes nervous, irritable, and gloom v, and has evil forebodings. There is a giddiness, a sort of whirling sens* tion in the head when vising up suddenly. The bowelo become costive ; the skin ia dry and hot at times ; the blood becomes thick and stagnant; the whites of th« eyes become tinged w ith yellow, the urine is scanty and high colon led, depo-iting a sediment after standing- There is frequently a spitting* up of the food, some times with a sour taste, and .sometimes with a sweetish ttisie : this i& frequently attended with palpitation of the heart ; the vision becomes impaired w ith spots before the eyes ; there it a feeling of great pros tration and weakness. £.11 of these symp toms are in turn present. It is thought that nearly one third of our population has this disease in some of its varied forms. It has been found that nudical men ha\< mistaken the nature of this disease. Sony have treated it for a' liver complaint, othera for kidney disease, etc., but none of th« various kinds of tieatrnent have been atte? ded with success, De^au.se the rbmed> ohould be such as to act harmoniously upon each one of these organs, and upon the 9tomach as well ; lor In Dyspepsia (for this is really what the di&ease is) all of these organs partake of this disease and require a remedy that will act upon all at the same time. Sie^el's Curative Syrup acts like a charm in this class of complaints, giving almost immediate lelief. The following letters from chemists of standing in the community wheio they live show in what : mation the article ifl held. John Archer, Harthill, near Sheffield ;— 1 can confidently recommend it to all who may be suffeiing from liver or stomach complaint?, haMng the testimony of my customers, who have deihed great benefit hum tln> Syrup and Pills. The sale is in creasing wonderfully. Ueo A. Webb, 141, York-street, Belfast: I have sold a lnr^e quantity, and the ! parties have te&tilied to its being what you I represent it. J. S. Met(.i!fe, 55, llighgate, Kendal :— I have always <_>reat pleasure in recommending the C'lYati c Syrup, for I have never known a ca-e winch it has not relieved or niied, and I ha\e sold many flosses. Kobt G. Gould, 27, rfigh-street, Andover: -I ha\ c alw ays taken a great interest in your medicines and I have recommended them as I ha\e fount! numerous cases of cure from their u.se. Dalton-in-Furncss :— lt if n- edle-s for me to say that your valuable medicines have gieat sale in this district— greater than any other I know of, giving great .satisfaction. Kobt. Lame, Melksham :— I can well recommend the Curative Syrup from having proved its efficacy for indigestion myself. Fnockheim. Arbroath, Forfarehire, Sept. 23, 18S2. Dear Sir,— Last year I sent you a letter lecommending Mother Seigel's Syrup I have very much pleasure in still bearing testimony to the very satisfactory results of the famed Syrup and Pills. Most patent medicines die out with me; but Mother Keteel has had a steady sal© ever eince J commenced, and Is still in as great demand as when I first began to sell the medicine. The cures which have come under my notice are chiefly those of liver complaint and general debility. A certain minister in my neighbourhood Bays it is the only thing which has benefited him and restored him to his normal condition of health after being unable to preach for a considerable length of time. I could mention also a great many other cases, but space would not allow. A near friend of mine, who is very much addicted to costive ness or constipation, finds that Mother Seigei's Pills are the only Pills which suit his complaint. All other pills cause a reaction, which is very annoying. Mother Seigel's Pills do not leave a bad after-effect. I have much pleasure in commending tgain to suffering humanity Mother Sei^el'smeu'cines, which are no sham. If this letter ia of any service you can publish it. Yours very truly, (Signed) Wai. S. Glass, Chemist. A. J. White, Esq. 15th August, 1883. Dear Sir, — I write to tell you that Mr Henry Hillier, of Yatesbury, Wilts, informs no that he suffered from a severe form of indigestion for upwards of four years, and book no end of doctor's medicine without fche slightest benefit, and declares Mother Beigel's Syrup which he got from me ha» waved his life. Ycurs truly. (Sijped) N. Webb, Mr. White Chtmi.«t C»ln«.
