WAIORONGOMAI.
The heavy rain fall since onr last issue has provided an abun.lant supply of motive power for all battery i requirements, and the full force of both stampers and tailings plant been fully employed since Saturday last ; 85 stampers for New Find, andafor Jamieson and party, tributera in the Waiorongomai mine,- all the berdans being engaged on tailings for the battery. Work is being still carried on almost entirely by contract in the various mines. In addition to the very large amount of New Find ore awaiting treatment, about 100 tons from the Mny Queen
mine lies romly for conveyance to the battery ; and when this has been treated crushing will commence for tho Colonist mine. A very large portion of the bricks jequired for building the 50ft chimney stack, in connection with the revolving furnace, etc., about to be erected by the Battery Company^ are now on the ground, and Mr Ginri, bricklayer, from Thames, has been engaged to carry out the work. The contractor for the building has the wall-plates laid, and expects to have the greater part of the framing up within a week.
