SAFE TO LEND TO ENGLAND.

PARIS, Nov. 1. The special correspondent of the Lc j Matin at New York telegraphs the following remarkable declaration made by Mr Davidson, the great financial authority and one of the directors of the house of Morgan, who has just returned from Europe:— '' Nothing impressed me more during I my trip to Europe than the financial : force and the immense reserve of riches in France. ! '' We should never forget that Eng- ! land and France represent the two prin- , cipal nations of the world from the j point of view of their amassed wealth j and investments abroad. My decided opinion is that loans by us to England or France are the best possible investment the United States can make."
