SOVIET REPUDIATES ALL FINANCIAL OBLIGATIONS.

,(<' Times.'') (Ece. Dec. 28, 9.10 a.m.) CONSTANTINOPLE, Dec. 26. Having decreed the abolition of private property, the puppet Armenian Soviet has taken the second regular step in Bolshevism and repudiated all Armenia's financial obligations.

During a debate in the Chamber of Deputies on the foreign policy, the ex-War Minister, M. Lefevre, explained that his resignation was mainly due to the Finance Ministry's demand for the cutting down of the army estimates, with which he did not agree. He asserted that Germany was trying to reconstruct her armaments, as shown by the fact that, she still possessed tens of thousands of machine-guns, millions of rifles, and a number of field guns. Germany was also concealing 11,000 gun breeches in secret depots, whilst not a single model had been discovered of two of the latest machine-guns, one of which was capable of firing 1500 shots a minute, as well as antiaircraft guns and another intended to be used for firing on trenches from aircraft. t M. Lefevre asked for the maintenance of the French military forces, which, he declared, were indispensable if the barricade against Germany and the Bolsheviks was to be kept up. The police at Cologne discovered a German who has been eelling, for upwards of a year, poisoned wine to the troops of the Army of Occupation. Three thousand bottles have been sold. TERRIBLE AIRPLANE FATALITY AT CAPE TOWN MACHINE STRIKES CHIMNEY AND BURSTS INTO FLAMES. 1 (A. & X.Z.) (Rec-* December 28, 12.15 p.m.) CAFE TOWN, December 27. An airplane disaster occurred at Greeupoint, a Cape Town suburb. The machine, which was in charge of Captain Hemming, an experienced pilot, and was carrying three passengers—two ladies and a child—struck a high chimney, burst into flames and crashed. All the passengers were killed, and the bodies incinerated.
