LONDON, August 16. In the House of Commons, the Rt, Hon. Lloyd George, replying to a question, said that the Government would not remove the restrictions on Archbishop Mannix's movements, but it -was prepared to give every assistanc? to Archbishop Maimix's moth r to visit him in England. Alderman McSv-eeney, Lord Mayor of Cork, at his court-martial looked ill owing to a hunger strike. He said: "I am Lord Mayor and Chief Magistrate of Cork. I declare this court illegal, and those participating it liable to arrest under the Irish Republican laws." McSweeney was found guilty. Sentence was deferred. Kameneff, in a letter to Mr Lloyd George, says the Russians are anxious to learn Great Britain's final decision regarding General Wrangel. The letter charges Great Britain with maintaining an attitude of a protector of General, Wrangel, enabling him to prepare a fresh blow and culminating in France's recognition. Kameneff declares that Great Britain throughout has refused to undertake any practical steps to achieve peace in South Russia.
