NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of "The Counties Act, 1905," Sections 117-18, and "The Bating Act, 1908," Sections -18-51 inclusive, that it is the intention of the Halswell County Council at its next ordinary meeting to be held on the 31st day of August, 1920, to MAKE and LEVY a GENERAL RATE of One Penny in the £ in each of the Number One, Two, and Three Ridings of the County, such Rates to be on all the Rateable Values of all the Rateable Properties in each of the Three Ridings of the County respectively. Also on that portion of the Numbers One and Two Ridings of the County comprised within the Halswell Drainage Area, a separate Rate of Three-eighths of One penny in the £in Class A; One Farthing in the £ in Class B; and One-eighth of One Penny in the £ in Class C of the said separate area.
