Press Association. __ _ TijvfAßU, August Hi. A largely attended and representative meeting of the South Island Motor Union was held here to-night. It was unanimously decided that a motor tax should be levied on tyres, without any rebates, and that legislation should be passed without delay for the licensing of motor drivers. The frequency of motor accidents was deplored, and it was considered that tlio licensing of drivers would help to decrease the number of accidents.
