OBITUARY.

The death occurred at, Ashbnrton, at an early hour this morning, after a lingering illness, of Airs E. G. Crisp. The late Mrs Crisp was the daughter of Mr Samuel Totham, civil engineer, llobarr, and came to New Zealand 4,1 years ago She was married at Lyttclton to Mr E. G. Crisp, the first, solicitor in Ashbnrton. The deceased lady took a keen interest, in croquet, tennis and golf, winning many valuable trophies. During the War. Mrs Crisp was prominent in all patriotic movements, and in matters connected with the churches. In he;' vounger days, she arranged many successful amateur operatic performances, anil took leading parts. Mis Crisp is survived by her husband and two sons--Mr E. S. Crisp, manager of the Bank of Australasia, Ngarnawahia, and Mr I'. S. i Crisp, of the literary staff of The Su.V. j
