Mr E. G. Poulton, the ncwly-appointeii registrar of births, deaths and marriages in Christehurch, has taken up his duties, which include those of registrar of electors in the Southern Maori district. Mr F. Evans, his predecessor, leaves on Monday for Auckland, where, in addition to being registrar of births, deaths and marriages, he will be registrar of electors in the Auckland East constituency, and passports and permits officer.
