New Zealand's final contest against the Metropolitan team was a runaway affair, the: visitors winning by 81 points to 5. The weather was fine, and there was a large attendance. The ground was heavy. The match was an interesting exhibition. In the presence of 1500 people the English League team defeated the West Const representatives by 55 points to 18, after a very one-sided game, In which the merits ol the sides were fairly indicated by the scores. Pretty passing bouts among the English' backs, who scored almost whenever they got the ball, were opened up by Paijkin and Thomas. Thomas also helped to open up the game, while Davies, Stone.
