THE CRISIS IN JAPAN. EPIDEMIC OF SUICIDES. Bli Cable. — Press Association. — Copyright. (Rpc. Aug. 12, 8.50) SYDNEY, Aug. 12. A Sydney solicitor who has returned from Japan, referring to the recent commercial crisis there, states that it resulted in the collapse of most of the companies formed during the trade boom, which occurred during the War. The losses were enormous, and, in three months, there were 1500 suicides among Japanese merchants.
