PROMINENT DUNEDIN MAN ARRESTED. Prtta JLesortation. PTJNEDIN, August 11. A sensation was created in the city this afternoon when it became known tlmt Matthew Bradley, a well-known figure in civic circles, had been arrested on a charge of unlawful intercourse, with a girl 14 years of age. The accused, who is 52 years of age, conducts a bootmaking business in the city, and came into special prominence during the War period owing to the active part he took in connection with recruiting, lie is a Justice of the Peace, and member of the Dunedin City Council, and at present chairman of the Gas Committee. Bradley was brought before the Magistrate's Court and remanded till August 20, on bail.
