STABBING AFFRAY.

CELEBRATING THE GRATUITY. Press Association. WELLINGTON, November 8. A dispute between two men occupying a room in a Willis Street boardinghouse last night resulted in one, Martin McDonoiigh, being arrested on a charge of stabbing the other, Daniel Colton, a returned soldier who had just drawn his gratuity. The pair had apparently been celebrating the occasion. Colton is now in hospital with a wound in the chest, said to have been inflicted with a pocket-knife. It is not regarded as serious.
