MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
CAMPAIGN MEETINGS. Mr J. J. Dougall, candidate for the city mayoralty, and the Citizens' Association's candidates for the St. Albans ward—Messrs E. H. Andrews, J. W. Beanland and A. Williams—will give addresses in the Young Men's Guild Hall, near St. Albans Park, this evening. Mr J. McCombs, M.P., the Labour ; candidate for the mayoralty of Christchurch, will address the electors at 8 o'clock this evening, in the Choral Hall. The Rev. J. K. Archer, of Sydenham, the selected Labour candidate for ilnvercargill, will preside. Messrs E. J. Howard and G. Manning, candidates for the Central Ward, will also speak. To-morrow evening in St. Saviour's schoolroom, Sydenham, Mr J. McCombs and the Labour candidates for Sydenham will address the electors. Councillor F. Burgoyne will preside. i Mr T. S. Daere, one of the Linwood ißurgesses' Association's candidates for the Christchurch City Council, will speak at the corner of Gloucester and ; Surrey Streets at 7.30 this evening.
The Citizens' Association's candidates for the Sydenham ward will address two meetings this evening. At 7.30 Mr Gordon Hutchison will open at the Selwyn Street Methodists' Schoolroom, to be followed by Messrs J. Longton and A. C. Maxwell. At 8 o'clock MiMaxwell will commence at Beckenham Hall, where Messrs Longton and Hutchison will speak later. The Labour candidates for the Sydenham ward will give addresses at the corner of Hanover and Montreal Streets at 8 p.m. to-day, and at Church Square, Addington. at 8.30 p.m. Messrs 1). G. Sullivan, H. F. Herbert, and H. Hunter, Labour candidates for the Linwood ward, will speak in the Eolleston Street Hall this evening. The Labour candidates for the St. Albans ward will hold meetings at the corner of Springfield and Edgeware Eoads, and the comer of Abberley Eoad and St. Albans Street this evening. A meeting of persons willing to assist in promoting the return of the Citizens' Association's candidates for the City Council, Hospital Board and Harbour Board is to be held at 140 Hereford Street to-morrow evening.
