PARISH MEETINGS.
ST. PAUL'S, PAPANTJI. Tlicrc was a fair attendance at the annual meeting of parishioners of St. Paul's, Papanul. It was decided that it he an instruction to the new vestry to take immediate steps-towards the building of the new vicarage. Regarding the erection of a memorial to the soldiers who had fallen, it was suggested tlii-t a lych gale would he the most suitable. It could hear the names of all who went from the parish, as well as those of the fallen, it was decided to postpone determining on the form of the memorial until designs and an estimate of the cost had hecn obtained. 'file following church officers were appointed:—Vicar's warden, Mr Taine; parishioners' warden, Mr Halfacre; vestry, Messrs Adams, Eldred, Powell, Watson, Brccn, Somerset, and Matson. Messrs Skilton and McClellund were elected to the parish council. Hcgi'et was expressed that Mr Matson had hecn unable to accept the oflice of parishioners' warden, a position he had held for a number of years. The finances were considered satisfactory and an ofTcr hy Mr Taylor to keep the accounts was accepted.
