i i ».,—— ■ i LITTLE CHANGE IN VALUES. Stock exchanges throughout New Zealand opened to-day after the Easter holidays. Quotations on the Christchurch exchange showed little difference between prices ruling immediately prior to the holidays. Union Banks were offered at £57 without buyers. As the Union Bank of Australia recently issued new shares, shareholders can now only look to a regular income on their investments, and shares may therefore decline in price. P. and O.'s were quoted at, buyers £392, but business has been done in other centres at £394. Becent London quotations were £421. New Zealand Befrigerating were offered at 58/- without buyers. A iarge number of these shares have been sold during the t past few months to North Island investors. Buyers quote £6 10/- and sellers £7 for Christcjiurch Gas, but business has recently been done at £6 12/6. Auckland mining quotations received show buyers 43/3 and sellers 44/- for Waihi's. These shares are therefore firmer, an advance 1 of 1/3 being represented. Buyers quote 7/6 and sellers 3/5 for Talisman's, so that these shares are down fid.
