A meeting of permanently disabled soldiers passed a remit to the annual conference of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association that the Government be asked to appoint a Royal Commission of three men, of whom two should be permanently disabled soldiers, to inquire regarding employing permanently disabled soldiers in Government departments.
