Mrs Maebean Stewart, Merivale Lane, Christchurch. Miss Laura Tabart is back in town again after spending Easter week with her sister, Mrs Palmer, in Gisbonie. Mrs G. Morray-Aynslry ami Miss Gerard, who were np in Palmerston for the Croquet Tournament over the holidays, returned to Christcburcb on Saturday morning. A military wedding took place in Wanganui last week, when LieutenartColoml Donald Dobson, MA'., Main Bodv New Zealand Expeditionary Force, son of the late Mr and Mrs Dobson, of Nepier, and well known in this city, was married to Miss Ruth Fairho.ni, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Fairburn. of Wanganui. The ceremony took plaee at Christ's Church, when the Tie*', the Rev. 11. Reeve, officiated. The Wide wore ivory charmeuse embroidered in panel effect in gold thread, with a eonrt train of silver tissue lined with shell pink, a veil, and wreath, and carried a lovely bouquet of flowers. The bridesmaids. Misses I. Humphries, of Palmerstoii North, and Leslie Williams, cf Wanganui. were in maize georgette, with swathed belts of pale lilac silk. They carried posies of heliotrope and maidenhair fern, and wore black velour hats. The best man was Corporal Vesey Robinson, of Christchurch, and Major Gorton, also of Christchurch, was the groomsman.
