COAL SITUATION.
CONFERENCE TO-MORROW. TSpecial (o The Sun.] WELLINGTON, September 7. • The coal question was before Cabinet again this morning. Progress was made with the preparation of the order of reference for the general inquiry regarding coal prices and supplies, to be conducted by the Board of Trade. Pending the conference between the mineowners and the mine delegates on Tuesday, the Ministers are no! moving further with reference to the dispute that brought about the recent stoppage at the mines. II is understood, however, thai the Minister of Mines is prepared to make suggestions to the parties.
