ADDINGTON YARDS.

THE METROPOLITAN MARKET. There were fair entries al the usual weekly stock sale held at the Addington Metropolitan market to-day. The attendance, however, was not large, many well known buyers being absent. There was an exceptionally large entry of fat sheep, whilst store sheep were abundant. All, however, with the exception of a few lir.es, showed traces of scarcity of feed, and were only in moderate condition. There were some good fat cattle offering. Prices, however, were easy in most departments, and often considerably below last week's. STORK SHEEP. The entry of store sheep was large, although it did not approach the number offering the previous week. The quality, however, was extremely moderate, the majority of the_J|nes offering lacking finish and condition. The West Coast was a large' contributor, whilst sheep werej entered from as far south as lover-! cargill. In consequence condition | was not a feature, and prices were j easy, many pens being passed in al i prices several shillings below last j week's figures. A line, however, of two-tooth ewes entered by Mr Gardiner, Purau, realised 39/-, these being liie top price and heading the market. Ewes, of which there was a fair offering, were in fair demand, with an occasional outstanding line. There was little evidence of rape-fed sheep. The raitge of prices was as follows: Mixed sex lambs, 8/6 to 15/9. Two-tooth ewes, 20/3 to 39/-. Six and eight-tooth ewes, 25/11 to 28/10. Four, six, and eight-tooth ewes, 25/9 to 34/-.
