SUBMARINES FAIL.
TO ISOLATE SALONICA. Renter's Telegrams. LONDON, March 9. Renter's correspondent at Headquarters at Salonica points out that the submarine campaign by which Germany boasted that she would cut off the Allies at Salonica, has been a complete failure, as the harbour is full of shipping, which is coming and going with clockwork regularity. The only recent enemy successes are the sinking of one British,, one French, and one Italian vessel. On the other hand the submarine mortality is not insignificant. The Allies have not even been compelled to use an alternative route.
