SUNK IN COLLISION, AFRICAN LABOURERS DROWNED Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, March 10. The War Office announces that the transport Mcndi (4320 tons, of the Elder-Dempster Line) with the final batch of South African native labourers on board, collided "with another vessel in a thick fog off the Isle of Wight on February 21. Twelve Europeans and 191 natives were saved. Ten Europeans and 015 natives were drowned.
