INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION. The phrsisc "a man's work" has—outside of Hie law, polities and the church—lost all meaning. When first the scarcity of men compelled the acceptance of women's labour, there was a searching for "light jobs," and a complicated classification of industries according as to whether the work was such as "women could undertake." Now, outside of such personal technical skill or training and not sex is the qualification, there is not one class of work officially listed in England to-day as necessitating the retention of men.— "Melbourne Age."
